Web Development: #TeamBrick Needs YOU...
Brick was established almost 30 years ago in 1995, which now seems like the almost impossibly distant past. Back then, the internet was really just getting started; nobody could have predicted just how much it was going to change so many aspects of the world and of our lives within it.
Colin Clarke, the founder and Managing Director of Brick, was one of the internet's early pioneers. Recognising the potential of the nascent technology, Colin applied for a council grant to kickstart a new business; the council politely turned down his application because it believed that the internet would be 'just a phase'. How very wrong they were.
Despite this rather condescending explanation from the council, Colin's belief that there would soon be massive demand for developers and creators of website was not shaken. He continued seeking finance to make Brick a reality and, in the end, the necessary funds came from a most unlikely source: the British Legion. With funding secured, Colin sat down at his kitchen table and created his first website.
Today, nearly three decades after those tentative first steps were taken, Brick has become a leading web development agency with a global presence and many employees. We continue creating world-class custom websites and now also offer a comprehensive suite of state-of-the-art internet services on top. Brick remains at the cutting-edge, embracing new technologies and utilising them to design, devise and deliver innovative solutions.
We are now seeking a Front-End Developer to join #TeamBrick as we continue our onward journey. The exciting, opportunity-filled position needs a bright, ambitious and motivated person to fill it, someone who can bring together design and programming skills in one smart, sophisticated and future-forward package.
The successful applicant will take on a demanding yet exciting and varied array of responsibilities, from helping to develop visual aspects of UI/UX designs and new user-facing features to building reusable code and optimising applications to ensure that they reach their full potential. Working directly with Colin and communicating directly with our discerning clients, our new Front-End Developer will become a crucial bridge between technical implementation and graphic design.
If you think you have what it takes to become a valued member of #TeamBrick and reap the many rewards on offer, then we want to hear from you. Email your CV to info@brickweb.co.uk and let's start building towards the future together...
