The FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 Amsterdam

Representatives from Brickweb are excitedly gearing up to attend this year's FESPA (Federation of European Screen Printing Associations) Global Print Expo, which takes place from March 19th to March 22nd in the Netherlands. Billed as 'Europe's leading exhibition for screen and digital, wide format printing and textile printing', the event offers a unique opportunity for networking and knowledge-sharing, which our team will use to improve further The Brick Factory, our standard-setting business automation tool for print on demand companies.

The roots of FESPA date back to May 1961, over six decades ago, when the Danish Screen Printing Association held a General Assembly in Copenhagen. As a result of this formative event, the French Printers Association conceived FESPA and quickly put their ideas into practice by forming the organisation along with seven other European Associations just a year later. Since then, FESPA has continued to grow and now includes National Associations from no less than 37 countries worldwide.

In addition to holding annual exhibitions in many of these countries, FESPA's growth has been impacted by its creation of the Profit for Purpose initiative in 2005. The initiative was spearheaded as a global reinvestment programme which, utilising the revenue earned at FESPA events, 'supports the global speciality print community to achieve sustainable and profitable growth'. Profit for Purpose channels this reinvestment into four areas:

• Helping print businesses to prosper through growth and diversification
• Sharing essential knowledge, insights and market intelligence
• Sparking inspiration and promoting best practice
• Creating valuable opportunities for networking

The FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 incorporates the co-located European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience, 'Europe's leading signage and visual communications exhibition'. The hope is to attract thousands of visitors representing agencies, brands, stakeholders, fulfilment houses, and retailers from across the diverse print industry. This exhibition element will explore the vast future potential of customised merchandise through speeches, presentations, and other exciting events.
